Walk to Please Our Father

Ephesians 5:1-7 calls believers to imitate God as beloved children by walking in love and purity. Walking in love means following Christ's example of sacrificial, unconditional love that requires dying to self. Sexual purity is emphasized because it aligns with God's design for marriage. Paul warns against sexual immorality, covetousness, and inappropriate speech, stating that those who habitually practice such sins have no inheritance in God's kingdom. While Christians aren't sinless, we should be sinning less as we grow in Christ, purposing to live for the Father through the Son by the power of the Holy Spirit.
