Christs Example To Us

Paul teaches that true joy comes from following Christ's example of sacrificial service rather than self-centered living. The key to joy despite difficult people is developing a submissive mind that puts Jesus first, others next, and yourself last. Christ demonstrated the ultimate example by emptying Himself of His heavenly privileges, taking the form of a servant, and becoming obedient even to death on a cross. Because of His voluntary humility, God has exalted Him above every name. The cure for selfishness and strife is to actively serve others and ask what Jesus would do in difficult situations.
